Education

The Milford Public School District is well-known for its excellence. Milford and Pleasant DaleElementary Schools were built in 1975, and serve 368 students.

The main portion of the Junior-Senior High Schoolwas built in 1960, and a classroom addition was added in 1987. In 2002, a new auditorium/gymnasium complex was completed. This school serves around 346 students and offers a full range of class and extracurricular offerings.

Educational Service Unit #6 is headquartered in Milford, providing services to schools in a five-county area.

Milford is home to Southeast Community College, which has provided technical and vocational training since 1941. It serves approximately 1,000 full-time students and annually places 99% of its graduates soon after graduation.

Preschools include Bellwood Christian Montessori.

The Milford Foundation seeks to help student and educators meet their goals.
